I recently bought a new PC and loaded Works 2000. When I try and do a mail merge of a few different works databases, works just crashes. It doesn't freeze or anything it just shuts down. I go to tools->mail merge and I select the database and once I double click the file it just shuts down. It works with a few other databases but not these. Any suggestions?

Have you tried reinstalling? Its possible that something got corrupted on not installed during the initial setup. I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling while making sure that you have selected the "install everything" option during setup. MCSE, A+

I Uninstalled and reinstalled works a few times. Also when you go to open a works document the filenames are listed as symbols, like IIII3 IIIIIG, IIIIIIE, ect... That's when you browse to open a document. They are listed right on the top but under filename they are listed like that. I'm out of ideas
