Hello all
Let me try to expalin

I have an network ( local network ) with server and printer ok and internet connection

When I enter on another domain using VPN , i can´t printer.

I can´t ping ip address or the printers name

All are TCP/IP printers.

My guess is , we need to configure the vpn connection with an option - this are local printers ( tcpip ) not a internet printer

How I do this ?

Thanks
Nelson

You have really left a lot out, which would help greatly.

I presume, and may be wrong, that you are trying to print from a system thet is coming in over a VPN link. However, if the print server hosting the printer is a domain member, and the external user is not, then he will not be able to use the domain resources, in this case the printer. It should be possible for the external user to become a print server for this machine also.

The fact that you can not ping either the printer IP address or its name is a DNS issue. You probably need to add a hosts table to the remote system with the local IP address and machine name for the printer machine IP address, but I suspect the printer "Name" you are trying to find is the name assigned by the print server for the printer machine, not the actual "name" of the printer machine.

Even if you could ping the print machine, you will not be able to use it until you resolve the permission issues between the two domains, or until the remote system becomes a print server for the printer machine also.

HTH,

David
