I have a Workstation running MS Office 97 on W2K. The user logged into the WS is an Administrator equivalent user and has full access rights to her workstation.

If she has Word minimized on her task bar and Outlook open, then opens an email, clicks reply and begins typing, then minimizes the reply... She cannot maximize the reply again until she minimizes EVERYTHING else on her screen. She can't just click on the message on her task bar. It registers that shes clicking on it, but it won't maximize the message. Only if she first minimizes Outlook (and any other apps open on her screen) can she then maximize the message...

Any thoughts?

Yeah, sounds like a virus or you need to rinstall office. First get the latest virus updates and then do a full system scan. If it showes up nothing, or doesn't work then reinstall office. That should fix your problem. Sounds like some configuration file is currupted. Jason Wichman
