Hi I wonder if anyone can help with this problem, which is driving at least 3 of us nuts here in the office.

We have an access program set up to either print or e mail lists of names from a database. When we print, all fields show and all telephone numbers. When using the same info but using the e mail option in Access, it misses off certain telephone numbers. I am not sure if the pages are set up so that certain fields are missed, or what is happening

This happens on everyone's machine, except my boss's and has so far taken up a few hours of our time. If I copy my boss's program onto my machine, it will still miss off fields, so it seems machine specific. Also all machines give all fields when printing directly from Access, and it is only when e mailing a list that the telephone numbers are missing. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Or where settings for the email and print options from Access can be found. What is puzzling us is the discrepancy between printing and e mailing

Any help very gratefully accepted

Hi

A guess

I assume that you are emailing the list using OutputTo? and RTF format

Could it be that you have some formatting which is printed only for some phone numbers?

This would explain difference in behaviour between print and EMail, since RTF often loses formating information eg lines etc

However this would not explain diffrenet behaviour beteen machines

The list that we send out is an Access report which draws its data from just one table (as far as I know). The Access database program gets updated every now and then, and since the most recent update, we've been having problems with the report when we send it via email in any format - however when it is directly printed, the problems don't occur. One person in the office didn't receive the updated version and has no problems with the emailed report. I copied her version of the report into my database, but the problems still occur. The programming code of her report is exactly the same as ours. Could this have something to do with our email settings? It is only some telephone numbers that get left off and this appears to be random

We are completely bemused and tearing our hair out here.

Any help will be very gratefully received
