I'm having a problem with a computer. It has 2 printers connected to it. After a Windows Update ran, it started cutting off the right hand side of the page when it's printed. Doesn't matter what program it prints from, it still cuts the right hand side of the page off.

I thought the printer driver at first, so I downloaded the newest driver from HP's Website. It's an HP Laserjet 1300. I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it with the new driver. No change so I tried to print to the other printer, an HP 925 Inkjet. Same thing. It even cuts the page off in the same place.

Anyone have any ideas?

Might try a system restore just prior to the Windows update & see if that fixes the problem. I can't see why an update would cause this though.

System Restore or removing the update would be a good first step.

Can you print in Landscape view and get the missing parts?

Do you see the page layout correctly from any print preview?

These refer to Web Pages, what are you printing and from which application?

Thanks. I'll give that a try and see what happens.

Hmmm.Landscape gets more text on it, but still cuts it off.

The Print Preview shows it exactly like it prints though. Didn't think to look at that.

Do you see the same problem if you use another user account to print something?

This link has some ideas to try out to see if they fix printing problems.

Can either printer print a test page via the Printer's Properties. Is there any facility on the printers to scan or copy something and print it directly without involving the computers that you can check out?

Hey Linney. I appreciate your comments. I'll be sure to check out that article. Both printers will print a test page with no problem. Both printers are also only printers. No scanner, copier or anything.

I haven't thought about using another user account. I'll try that tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

I would take a look at the page setup for the printers to be certain you have the correct paper size selected, an oddball small paper size setting could give results like you are seeing.
