Hello,

I have a single PC on a domain with an Exchange server where an individual user account cannot launch Outlook - she gets the "Outlook cannot start. MAPI32.dll is missing or corrupt..." error. The strange thing is that it only happens to THAT particular account on THAT particular PC. If she logs on another PC, Outlook works fine. If a different user logs on to the same PC, Outlook also works fine.

I tried the usual fixes - renaming MSMAPI32.DLL, running fixmapi, running Detect & Repair, with no luck. I also tried deleting her profile directory on the local PC. This is a clean install of Office 2003. Any suggestions? Is this an Outlook problem or an Exchange problem?

Go with the error - check for registry corruption on that PC.

When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

Can you be more specific? What keys should I be looking in? As I said, I deleted her profile... any other users that log on to that machine can use Outlook just fine.

Sorry - not my area of expertise. When this happens here, we contact network & support staff and they clean & rebuild the registry on the PC.
