Strange and new IE crash 2

Hi

If I am on the Internet using one window in IE6 it is fine.

I can even use two windows and there is no problem.

However if I close the first window that I started surfing with my computer completely crashes.

I have to try and remember which window I started off with so that I don't close the wrong one.

This is quite a recent occurence (past couple of weeks).

Any suggestions?

* Reinstall IE6
* Run Scandisk\Defrag\Antivirus
* Run SFC (START -> RUN -> SFC)
* Download and install the latest service pack

Have you checked on Microsoft's support pages?

Run the IE repair tool first. This may fix things before reinstalling IE.
