Storing Microsoft Outlook Pst files on exchange

I was wondering if it is possible to store pst files on exchange so that when users go to the owa then they can view all their mail?

create a profile with the exchange server
add the pst folder
copy all mails & things to the exchange server
voila

for high volumes of pst's you could use exmerge

after creating the profile on exchnage server. and changing deleviry option on to exchange account i guess u will have all the mails on exchange but can u let me how to back up the data on exchange wihtout buying any third party backup software. is there any option we can backup each mailbox seperatly.thank for ur info.

I see what you are doing but is there a way to point the owa to the pst file instead of the mailstore?

owa reads mailstore, can't read pst's

i can't imagine a solution to solve your problem outside using the mailstore to deliver your messages.

If it's important for your business to have OWA functionality you should consider diskupgrades for your server so mail can be held there.

gotta look at the pro's and cons one every solution
