hi,

can anybody suggest me some good links for stored procedures examples.

Look it the master and msdb databases - you will find lots of SPs.
Some aren't very well written but...

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy.
