Our Exchange 2000 server has 1GB memory, and the store.exe process is taking up over 800MB of that. Is this normal? If I restart the server, that process begins by using a paltry 10MB, but over the next 12 hours or so, that usage will climb to over 800MB. There are no errors in the event logs, and users don't notice that anything is wrong. Is this behavior by design? Thanks very much for any advice here.

Store.exe is supposed to do that, to increase Exchange performance it tries to perform as much as it can in memory. I have heard that it will go to about 1.5 GB and then level off even if you have more RAM.

Don't worry, as soon as another app needs memory, store.exe will free it.
