Store.exe - Memory Usage

From what I have heard the store process will use almost all available memory until another process needs it. We have Exchange 2000 supporting about 150 users, 1 GB memory, and store.exe generally uses about 800mb of memory. If someone else knows of a way to change this behavior that would be great to know!
