I have to determine whether a user works on a CAD–system or a PC. To do this I ask the user what he is using and write a cookie with this information. The cookie is stored at a "personal" network drive. Is there a way to force a cookie to be placed at a certain directory on the PC or CAD–system hard drive? This is the only way to determine the difference. Who can help?

I do not think you can control wherethe cookie is placed on a user's hard drive, but why not place a different cookie depending on what the user uses? --------------------------------------------------

Simple, the user can switch from a PC to a CAD system and vice versa. But I now how to solve it. At a CAD system the cookie is stored on the harddrive of that system. A cookie made on a PC is stored on that persenal network drive. So that way the cookies can't mix up.
