Hello,
we use NetWorker 7.1.2 installed on Windows 2000. We have one jukebox, connected directly to server and 3 tape drives connected to 3 different storage nodes.
Storage node 1 (SN1) has internal SDLT drive and is connected to WAN at 2 Mbit line.
Storage node 2 (SN2) and Storage node 3 (SN3) has internal 4mm DDS drive and is connected over Internet (VPN) at 256 kbit line.
We have no problem with backup of SN1.
We have problems with mounting tapes on SN2 or SN3 - NetWorker Administrator keeps in "Mount operation in progress" state, or error message "Volume.001 (volume id 3090994177) not found in media index" appears.
We found temporary solution - restart "NetWorker Remote Exec Service" about 15 minutes before group start.
It look like a connection problem, because during "problem time" I can see 3 connections between server and SN2 from server's console:
nsrmmdbd.exe:1944 TCP server:8673 SN2:850 ESTABLISHED
nsrd.exe:1484 TCP server:8593 SN2:847 ESTABLISHED
nsrd.exe:1484 TCP server:8593 SN2:807 ESTABLISHED
but only 1 connection from SN2's console:
nsrmmdd.exe:1484 TCP SN2:807 server:8593 ESTABLISHED
I'm trying the connection to SN2 by PING every 30 seconds (from other server) and there are no disconnections.
Our network team said, that connection between server and SN2 is allowed on all ports.
Sorry for my English.

Any suggestion ?
