Was setting up a new computer with an older HP LaserJet 3100, and HP doesn't provide official XP drivers for this printer, which I believe is causing the issues. The printer is set up and can print to, fax to, everything just fine. But everytime the computer reboots, Windows thinks it's so clever it found a printer attached to the parallel port and wants to set it up, not realizing that it's already set up. Even working that wizard to the screen where there's the checkbox to tell Windows not to set up this hardware again, none of that works, and every reboot the wizard appears.

How could this be stopped?
