Hi There

How do i stop the Terminal Users from accessing the Administrative Tools on their desktop via "Start - Programs Administrator Tools" and looking at the Active direcoty, DHCP, dns ,WINS etc info.

Please advise accordingly , will be much appreciated.

Thanks

You can also go to all users profile and move it to only the profile you want.

Or, you can log in to Terminal Server through Remote Desktop as each TS client. Right click on the taak bar, and select Properties. On the Advanced Tab, uncheck Administrative Tools.

Help! I've fallen and I can't reach my beer.

Yes, one could beethunters method. However, if the user want to see the Administrative Tools all they need to do is re-check the Admin Tools selection.

Better to do through policies if you want control over the setting. Not to mention, each new user you have on the Terminal Server you will need to login to uncheck the Admin Tools box...and still it won't be a policy.

Group Policies are one of the huge advantages and selling points of the whole concept of a domain and security groups.

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!
