Just another quick query, i was wondering if it is possible to stop a form displaying a record for (that is the same in the main form) for each record in the sub form.

For example
If i have a main form key of 1 and subform elements of 1 2 and 3 then the main form will display 3 records each containing this info. is there any way to make it only display 1

Thanks in advance

Hi

If I understand your question correctly,

Change the recordsource of the main form, to be a query which joins the header table and the item table, then only headers with one or more items will be included

is that what you meant?

I don't quite understand what you mean by joining the header table to the item table. I only want one quote displayed for every quote number, at the moment it displays multiple quotes for a quote number (which are all the same) as there are different part records for the quote number in the subform.

Hi

I suspected I did not understand your question

What is the record source of the main form?

Hi

Very informative

Need to know the table(s) involved, the relationship between them (ie one to one, one to many ..etc), and the what which are the recordsources to main form and subform
