Whenever I try to boot into the Recovery Console I get the STOP Error in Windows XP Home (sorry couldn't find the Windwos XP Home forum):

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut dow to prevent damage to your computer.
<Standard Reboot Stuff>
Technical Information
*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF898D524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I get the error on two systems (the ones using P5LD2-VM DH motherboard) regardless if I take out our PCI cards or not.

I don't even have a chance to use the recovery console. The system loads whatever it loads and before I get to choose "Install Windows" or "Troubleshoot a Windows installation" I get the error.

I don't get this STOP error when I boot Windows normally or in Safe Mode.

Any help would be great.

It means that the mass storage controller you are using requires drivers that are not in the base installation of XP. Discussion and possible workarounds:

. For CD Access:

. Install the Recovery Console -- as the drivers will be there on the hard drive.

You can do this inside of XP:

Are you required to load drivers by pressing F6 as the Recovery Console is loading, ( F6 - To install third-party SCSI and host controller drivers)?

Ok. I installed the Recovery Console and I can access it now.

I think I need to find a way to actually fix this issue because when I use BartPE (based off of Windows XP Home) I get the same error.

I don't think I have any third party drivers
