Stop all word documents unminimizing when I open one document?

If I have several word (2003) documents open and minimized when I open another word document all the documents become unminimized. So I have to reminimize all the word documents to get back to back to what I was doing. (Yes, I realize I can use alt tab.) I'm wondering if there is a setting or something (which I haven't found) which will make so the other word documents stay minimized.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

There is no setting. If you choose "Windows in Taskbar", the Single Document Interface shows itself wanting in these circumstances - I have no idea why anybody would ever want this behaviour so I assume it's, dare I say, a bug.

Enjoy,
Tony
