Steps to install 0x16 module

Does anyone know the procedure for installing a 0x16 module? I've disabled module 12, are there any more steps to perform before plugging the module in and enabling it? Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry. I forgot to mention that it is a Norstar MICS phone system.

are you meaning a 12x0 module or port 12
was the port used by something else? (if so you need to tell the port what it is to be ,in hardware programming

if it was an unused port you should be able to power down the system and plug it in and power up

It is a 0x16 fiber station module. The port has never been used by something else. Is there away to do this without powering down the system?

Just plug it in the expansion port then power up the 0X16.....no need to power system down.
