Hi All

How I can activate and show my messages of controls on the status bar in a Form. Set status bar on does not work. Please guide me.

Thanks & Best Regds:
Ahsan Rana

The status bar is part of the main VFP screen. You'll have to redirect your messages to another control on your forms, if you wish them to show on your form.

You can also add a status bar active x control to your form and use it the same way.

Go to Tools->Options->Controls and select the ActiveX controls radio button. Select Microsoft StatusBar Control.
Click the Set As Default then close the dialog. Now you can add it to your form using the ActiveX Controls on your Forms Controls dialog.

I'm not entirely sure I understand your original question, but if you set the StatusBarText property of a control to "Hello there" , the status bar will say "Hello there" when that control has the focus. Depending on what it is you want to do with the status bar, that might be the easiest way for you to do it.

Lets say you have a textbox, you can your status bar message when user got focus at there.

right click at properties and go to statusbartext. Just type whatever message you want.

Hope this help you.
