Hello,

I'm attempting to configure a network with an 1841 and an asa 5510 such that a computer on the inside of the 1841 will have access to a computer on the highest level side of the ASA. Here's my best attempt at a text diagram.

Client on inside 1841 - IP 172.22.6.50
1841 inside interface - IP 172.22.6.192
ASA inside interface - IP 172.22.6.244
ASA secure interface - IP 10.10.10.244
Client on secure ASA - IP 10.10.10.127

I was hoping to have static mapping so the client on 172.22.6.50 would see the client on 10.10.10.127 as 172.22.6.127

Is this possible or have I just made it more difficult than it needs to be?

TIA,
Lou

Depending on the interface names and security levels, this should work.

static (inside,secure)172.22.6.127 10.10.10.127 netmask 255.255.255.255

Thanks,

I did have the static mapping but I must have had something else wrong. I scrubed the device and reconfigured. All good now.

Thanks,
Lou
