Starting up WIndows ME pc in DOS only

I have an older game that only runs well in DOS. Is it possible to startup a pc with Windows ME in DOS ONLY? (opening a window for DOS, while running ME doesn't work, either).

I think they went away from any clear and easy DOS path in ME. I know you cannot hit F8 and select command prompt, there is no "Shut Down to DOS" option in the shutdown menu. For that matter you cannot even do a format /s from the command prompt.

You got to make a boot disk with command.com in it.
Boot up using the diskette and voila.
Windows ME doesnt support real MS DOS.
