Hello All,
This is my first post to the forum, I am migrating my existing VNBU 4.5 Master and Media server (Redhat 7.3)to version 5.1 (Redhat Enterprise 3.0).

The current system has the Media and Master server on the same physical hardware and are scsi connected to a Qualstar 8466.

I now want to seperate the media from the master server and retain my current polices when i move to NBU 5.1.

I know i will have to keep the hostname from the current server to ensure that i do not have to change the host file on the systems that had no DNS entry (quite a few systems did not have backend IPs in DNS).

Since the 8466 has 2 scsi drives and 2 fiber drives, i intend to make the SAN connected servers be SAN media servers and utilize SSO for all servers accessing the Fiber drives.

Please add any advise for this process of migration and seperation of Media and Master servers to this thread.
Thanks in Advance,

-Kurt
