OS: 2003 SP2
Networker: 7.4.2
Incident: 2 weeks ago our time server spit out a time 4.5 years into the future. We fixed the time server problem within a couple of hours, but not before clients reset their time to the bogus time.

Problem: It appears any client that started when the Networker server reset it's time to the bogus future time, has set a time stamp on the client that was incorrect and am having problems backing them up now.

When I try to start or restart a group, clients start time is still showing the incorrect time.

sample:
Client Name Save Set level Start Time
apiapp02.edward.org D:\ full 1/2/13 7:10:03 AM

Can someone help?

Sorry, but there is nothing what you can do in this case. You can change the browse and retention time but of course the backup time is not adjustable. I can only recommend that you start with new backups.

What do you mean by start with new backups? I did recreate all the groups that had the affected clients in them. How can I change the browse and retention time?

'New backups' are just further backups.

To change the browse/retention dates, use "nsrmm -w new_browse_date -e new retention_date".
