I installed Star Office onto my Solaris 8 machine.... I was root when I did this... When I log on as root I see the star office icon on the workspace and it works, BUT when I log on as a user I don't see the star office icon... Where or what do I need to do so that the users can see and use the star office stuff... Did I miss an option on the install script to allow users to see this???

I think what is missing in the User Environment is just the SOffice Icon (do you use CDE as a windowmanager?), you can execute soffice as a "normal" user, too. Just find out the name and path of the executable..
