Ok had a normal voice PRI and everything was good. Then the provider talks the customer into combining voice and data and going SiP then converting the SIP to PRI using an Adtran. Now for some reason the 1st letter of the caller id does not come through on any call. We can go back to the original circuit and it works perfect, go back to the Adtran and you loose the first letter. Any ideas what to look at? The guy working on the Adtran said that they have 3 different DISPLAY settings they can use. We tried all 3 and got the same thing.

How is your d-channel and route set up? NI2 or what? Kinda strange it just drops the first letter though.

KCFLHRC. We’ve tried both and as long as it’s not going through the Adtran all is perfect. Once you go back to the PRI via Adtran you loose it. Seems I’m not the only one with the issue take a look at thread798-1701989.

Also to add to this they can no longer External Call Forward an outside call using the SIP circuit. The Adtran tech says that they need to see 3 things to make this happen.
1) The Calling Parties Number
2) The Called Number
3) The customers main number

1 & 2 are no problem but I don’t know of anyway to send all 3 out on a forwarded Call.

Very strange indeed. I read the other thread also. We have an Adtran guy in our building, I will run it by him. What information can you give me on the Adtran?

Hawks, do you have access to an ISDN Test Set that will emulate the PBX. Probably your best bet at this point to see what the Test Set shows for a name? It has to be a problem in the Adtran but unfortunately as you know it's probably going to come down to you proving it to them. Also if this is a TMDI card they can be flakey as you may already know, possibly force download the TMDI card after you connect to the Adtran.

I'll see if I can dig up a test set, as far as the TMDI I did force a download.
Thanks for checking with your guy.

I don't have a test set, but I did find another strange thing. Now when a message is left in a mailbox it does not give the caller information. It says you have a message from an UNKNOWN NUMBER. If I'm by a phone you can see the callers number so why wouldn't the voicemail pick it up?
