Srvices not running

I logged as Administrator but my services are not running

if i execute .msc files it opens a window named 'console'

please help me

what happend to my computer???

if you have no luck on the server, install the adminpack on another PC and connect to your server this way...
check the logs and see if there are any clues there... verify that services are running...

you could try rebooting, hitting F8 and trying last known good config as an outside chance..

but it also could be corrupted software, or virus.
check for virus first, and if all still fails you could try recovery console to repair your w2k installation...
is it a DC? do you have arecent backup?
if a DC, do you have domain authentification actually working?

Man i repaired W2K through Recovery Console 3 times but it wont work

Virus causing this problem

it bookmarked all .exe files and system files with Discription of Service Manager

i'm searching for Virus Removal Tool for this

i need to backup lot of data, if i connecting this hardisk to another systems the Virus infecting that systems also

my main worry about to backup and clean data

is there any way to do this nicely???

do you know what virus it could be??

can this PC connect to the net?
you could try an online scan...

what is the current state of this PC regarding network, working apps etc...
and what disks does it have... and partitions?

we'll get to the bottom of it ;-)

i used all the tools in that page but no good result

I think it is W32.Passma, is any tool for removing it??
i've only Symantec Small Business Editions, it is deleting
all the infected files.

but i need to repair it??

This is a small DealerShip Industry of Mahindra Vehicles
i joined Recently here.

Here The network is Buggy.
So i need to fix these problems.
i have to setup a small network with 25 systems

could be 'complete overhaul' time....

do you have a recent, 'before the infection' system state backup?

but even if the rest is not working 100%, would be better to find a solution for this virus problem, because if you set it all up well and it comes back... :-(

can the pc access internet?
does IE work, or firefox?

if you have a spare disk you could install a new OS on it, and install an antivirus and scan the other disk stright away, without the new system becoming too infected.

We need to get this pb sorted out first..
if you want help reconfiguring your network better, no pb, but 1st things 1st, we wont get anywhere till this part is sorted..

25 machines... how many others are infected or 'carriers'??
