Sounds to me like you installed the SRG 50 keycode before you installed the SRG 50 application update. SRG 50s are different than a 200/400 in that you have to load the software before applying the keycode.
Only way to get around this is to backup your config, do a level 2 reset, load the application update, load the keycode, load patches and restore your configuration.
