I was wondering what you find is the most useful book that you use on SQL2000 Administration. I want to make a purchase as we have just upgraded to 2000 from 7.
You mught be able to pickup any SQL Server 2000 Admin book, majority of the contents would be the same. BOL, Google and TEK-Tips and other sites should be able to provide you with lot of answers. Here is good book that I used to reffer.
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Administrator's Companion (With CD-ROM) (Hardcover)
The first place I go to is the BOL....and it's free.
-SQLBill
BOL=Books OnLine=Microsoft SQL Server's HELP
Installed as part of the Client Tools
Found at Start>Programs>Microsoft SQL Server>Books OnLine
or online at:
I agree. I use BOL all the time. I think the performance tuning book that I just purchased (that was mentioned on the same web page as the administration book) will be more helpful than an administration book.
