Hi all, weirdness from me as usual :)

A customer of mine has recently had a problem with her network. It seems weirdly to have fixed itself, but aside from that there seems to be another 'issue' that I only noticed on coming to solve the network problem.

For the last week or so the SQL Server Service manager has been told to run at startup. We dont believe its been installed by software that we have installed recently, and are wondering why on earth it would be running in the first place.

Any light shed on this would be most pleasing, thx as always...

Kutter.

Do a search on the computers and see if you can find any of the following files:

Sqlsp.log
sqlsetup.log
Replsys.out

These are the main installation log files for SQL Server and should give you some clues as to when and why it was installed.
