Hi!

When I'm connected to the internet my SQL servert (MS-SQL 2000 evaluation version) sends hugh amounts of data (it uses the whole bandwith, and I have a cable modem) to the internet. Could anybody tell me, why, and how I could prevent this?

Thanks

Iker

As r937 says, looks like you have the SLAMMER virus. You need to:

1. disconnect the server from the Internet for a while.
2. run an Anti-Virus checker and clean up the virus
3. apply Service Pack 3 (for SQL Server 2000).

Check out and do a search on SLAMMER for further information/help.
