SQL-Server on Media Server with SQL-Agent?

Hi,

I've seen an environment where a MS SQL 2000 erver is installed on the same server as the BE 9.1 Media server.
Also there is the SQL Agent installed.

Is that supported by Veritas or will there be any problems when a SQL Server is running on the same machine?

Yes it is supported. When you install BE 9, you have the option to use the included MSDE or to use an existing SQL Server for the BE database.

I am running BE 9.1 on the same machine as my SQL Server and it uses the SQL Server instance.

One word of advice, SQL Server is designed to use as much memory as possible, but I have have not found this to be a confict with BE.
