SQL Server Connection Problem.

When i tried to connect remote server on port no. 80, the result was succesful. But when i tried the same on port no.81 i got this following error;

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Client unable to establish connection .

Plz help me out solving this problem.
