Hi,

Is there any way to retrieve a list of Users for a Novell Network.

I have SQL Server 2005 Express Edition on a Windows XP Machine with SP2 installed and Novell Network Client Installed.

I want to be able to login to SQL Server using Windows authentication and get a list of Network Users to Allow certain users access to the Database.

The intention is to host the database on a XP Box with a VB Express front end (on each machine) accessing the data on the XP Box.

I can only see my local machine and assign local users permission even though I'm logged into the network.

Any help would be greatly appreciated + Thanks in advance.

Wow. I haven't worked with Novell since version 4.1.

As far as I know, there isn't really a good way to do this in SQL Server. You might be able to use VB .Net or C# .Net to enumerate the logins from Novell in an application and then have the application supply the logins for SQL, but I have no idea how you'd go about doing this.

Have you contacted Microsoft Support or Novell Support yet?
