I am trying to install SQL Server Standard Edition on a development computer. When I try to install Sql Server on the machine the setup process starts and then I get a message that says "Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition server component is not supported on this operating system. Only client tools will be available for installation." I have a Win2k Pro box with SP3 running as a Novell client. Has anyone else had this problem and can you tell me how I can install an instance of SQL Server on my machine. The Sql Server package came with another Software package, but it is still an original microsoft CD. Thanks in advance.

SQL Server Standard and Enterprise Editions can ONLY be installed on SERVERs not WORKSTATIONs.
