SQL Server 2000 on XP

Does anyone know if you can run sql server 2000 on windows xp professsional.

Hi,

I dont think u can install SQL Server 2000 on xp professional... but u can install MSDE though....

I am currently running SQL 2000 on My XP Pro Development Box. Its a resource hog but is ok on My p4 2Gig with 512MB of Ram.

ok just looked it up:

SQL Server 2000 enterprise and standard editions cant run on XP but hte other editions can.

Have u installed SQL server enterprise edition on XP professional... I tried installing but was not able to but developer edition of sql 2000 works on my XP pro PC
