SQL maintenance plan did not run as scheduled

Like to ask if any one knows the reason why the maintenace plan in SQL 7 did not run as scheduled.

Appreciated.

I know one of the reason is losing of the Sqlmaint.exe,
or your maintaince plan is not correct

Did the the plan start and then fail or just fail to start? Have you examined the Job history? Are there any messages in the SQL error log. Is the Job that starts the plan enabled? Is the schedule enabled?
