SQL Loader - Using Diff version Client and Server 1

Hi,

I am trying to load data using SQL*Loader 8.1.6 loading to Oracle 7.3.4. The following are the error message that I got in the log file:

SQL*Loader-282: Unable to locate character set handle for character set ID (0).

Does anybody have other resolution besides using compatible client and server?

Hi, Sorry [sad] but 'backward' loading is not possible according to the Oracle site..
7.x.x cannot be loaded from 8.x.x so, if you cannot use the 7.3 loader, you are out of luck
