sql backups

on remote sql server - standalone
started the agent as administrator and set the sa pwd
and the script file is created -
if i run manually from this box - it connects to the netbackup server and backs up no probs

if i schedule from the netbackuop server - i just get
none of the requested files were backed up (2)

any thoughts were i'm going wrong

i could probably live with a schedule job on the sql if that's easier or the way people do it?
not sure how this is done though or possibvle

recreated the script file which - just looks the same to me
and it worked
