Veritas 6.5.2A on aix 5.3 master server. We run sql backups calling .bch script. On our sql servers we follow the same naming convention DBBACKUP.bch for full and Inc_UserDB_Backup.bch for incrementals.
A new server was built (not by dbas) that has three separate sql instance names. Is there a way to have a different SQL Server Instance Names in a .bch script. How to backup three sql server instances in one script? Thanks.

You can backup everything on SQL using the $ALL parameter which is in the scripts by default. The MS SQL Agent Guide discusses this, I recommend taking a look at that.

Thanks yep saw that, I should have stated we didn't want to back up all instances so we couldn't use $ALL parameter just certain ones using one script. Thanks for the info.
