Hi,

I work as a Network Administrator with 250 users. Sometimes, the Humain Ressources's Director ask me to have access to a specific user's mailbox without him to notice it because they think that this user wants to steal some informations and go away. So usually, what I do for that is to go in the user's properties in AD and in Exchange Advanced -} Mailbox Rights and Add the Director but with Full Mailbox Access. The problem is that this way, the Director has access to his mailbox at the same time that the user is logged. So, if the Director delete by error an email, the user will notice right away.

Is there a read option without having the full access???

Thx

My recomendation would be to restore a copy for your HR department from your backups.

File --> Open --> Other Users Mailbox

type in the username and click "OK"

if your an exchange admin, you should be able to open it up and take a peek with out them being the wiser.

but a backup to a PST works best for a solid snapshot of the mailbox.
