Spserver Phonemanager 4.2(22)

Hi

I have a Problem with the PhoneManager 4.2(22). When I start the PM popped up a Message "Class not registred" with the title Spserver. The PM starts normally and works.

Can anybody say me, which functions the Spserver have?
And what are the cause of this message?

Spserver is what Phone Manager uses when running in softphone mode, sounds like the installation is corrupted, try re-installing it

Don't think so, it's part of the software, I think you will need to do a reapir or re-install

no, i didn't. but i have the problem on 10 pc's!

I saw this problem before when it was it was installed by right clicking and selecting "install as Administrator/company Name", rather than as the logged on user.

I think you are installing PhoneManager 4.2 on Windows2000?

If you are then that's your problem 4.2 clientsoftware does not support Windows2000 anymore.

(Had to learn the hard way as well, thanks intrigant).
Had read it somewhere but couldn't find it at the time of the upgrade.
Found it at a later time and for your information it's in TechnicalBulletin 097 page 48

Check if there is a "SPServer.lock" in the folder;

C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Phone Manager\XXX\

i have had this issue on site, i was installing on some machines all XP but a couple of them came up with this error and SPlock, they worked fine for a bit but over time all needed complete removal including Avaya folder in my documents and re install..

why i dont know i just know they did.

the problem was the win2k. I have downgraded the software. Now, it's working!
