I am currently a NT 4.0 user, and I recently upgraded from Windows 95. The excel spreadsheet that I use everyday comes up just fine on my 95 machine, but when I open the same spreadsheet up on my NT machine, it's a bigger font and it just looks different. Why? [sig][/sig]

I develop crystal reports that have to run on NT, 95 and 98 machines, and have the same problem. I think the reason is that the font definitions are slightly different on each machine. You may find a font you have used on 95 doesn't exist on NT, in which case Excel has chosen the NT font closest to the 95 font in the spreadsheet. [sig][/sig]

1. Use only TrueType fonts. Printer fonts will vary from printer to printer and will vary by machine depending what printers are installed.
2. Even with TT fonts, you will get variation from machine to machine depending on which application are installed. Any business documents that will be shared across more than one machine should stick to Arial, Courier New and Times New Roman. These are pretty much the only fonts that are available on any Windows machine.
