Spot Colors importing in with a PDF

I am on a Mac OS 9.1 using Quark 5.1 when I import in a PDF the PANTONE spot colors don't come in with the image in my color menu, other programs such as Indesign 2.0 does this, am I doing something wrong or is there a setting that I have over looked?

OK with a little down time I figured out the answer to my own question. All you have to do is open the pdf in Acrobat and save it as a .eps file, then import that file into Quark. It's not as easy as the other programs but hey it worked!
