I'm not sure if this is an NT server problem or an XP problem, but on my xp pro pc everytime I print to my networked printer, I get a spooler notification. I have to click ok to make the message go away.

How do I turn that off?????

I am not sure about XP, but in NT and 2000, go Start, settings, printers, file, server properties, and the setting you are looking for should be in the advanced tab.
