Split Database Problems

I have a database with multiple tables, forms, etc. that I have successfully split. The front and back ends reside on a common server. I have placed shortcuts for the users on their desktops. However, only one user can access a form/table at a time. When the second user tries to access the same form/table through the switchboard, they receive an error message, "There was an error executing the command".

I have successfully split other databases for use by multiple users and they were able to access the same forms/tables simultaneously. I have not seen this error message before. I've even tried creating a separate front-end for each user linked to a common back end file but that didn't work either.

Any thoughts?

Have you set the database to allow sharing? Tools, Options Advanced tab

Yes....I double checked the settings. I had set this database to replicate and then converted back to a regular dbase before splitting the tables. Could the "replication" fields that were created be causing the problem? I haven't removed them yet but I have reset everything else.
