Split Area Codes, Some NXX's Local, Some LD. How do I Program?

Help!!!!
Have an Option 11C in Dallas, TX and they have many "split" area codes where some NXX's are Long Distance 1+ required and some NXX's are Local ( 10 Digit ). What is the best way to program these in? The end users are new to the area and have no idea what needs a 1 and what doesn't. I would like to tell them to just dial the 1+ and let the system decide to remove it or not.....Thank-you.

You would have to build FCAS tables to either deny or allow the call to go as dialed. For example, build a deny table for 1214 NPA and build a "deny" table for all NXXs that are local 10-digit dialed. That table is referenced in your first entry in the RLB. The next entry does not reference that table but references a DMI table that deletes the 1 before sending the call. You also have to consider what routes to use for each, if you have different LD and local routes.

This can be a real headache to maintain, be warned.

Thank-you, sandyml.... Thought that would be about the only way and yes, a BIG Headache to maintain.... Would be nice if Telco would accept the "1" and strip it off on a local call instead of giving an intercept 1+ not needed

not the co, it's the ld carrier. but i build two rli's one with a dgt to strip the one the other without a dmi. for some reason ld carriers don't like us putting local calls on their networks.. guess that why we're switchman.. if you need the prompts to add the rli, let me know, sounds like you've been in the switch a while or i would have posted them
