spell check in multiple languages?

My primary language is english, but I'm learning french. Sometimes I must type a document or e-mail in french. Often, the document or e-mail contains both english and french. When Word or Outlook spell-check the document or e-mail, all of the french words are identified as misspelled english words.

So how can I get the spell-check to accept words spelled in other languages, as well as english?

Hi,

As I work with documents in German and English, I frequently run into the same need. In Word, you can associate text with a particular language. Highlight the text, then double-click on the language name at the bottom of the Word window; a list of languages will come up, and you can select the one you want. Then, when you spell-check, Word will apply that language's spelling to that block.
