Spectralink 8440's won't register a line with Mitel 3300

Hey guys, I've been working for several days (along with some others) on a new install and am having issues getting spectralink 8440's to register with a Mitel 3300. I'm out of ideas, and really don't know where to go from here. Phones are set up on the correct vlan, and register on the wifi. AP's are set up for WMM and as far as I can tell communication between the handset and the 3300 is good. I can ping the 3300 and get replies; I'm not sure where to go from here. Any ideas?

Since its a SIP device what are your SIP settings?

The only problem I had the first time I set up an 8440 was getting the AP SSID and password entered correctly. Once that was done the phone connected with no problems.

I got this resolved this morning; ended up being a setting in the Mitel. The lines were built as Spectralink lines, but needed to be built as generic sip devices. Thanks for the help though!

Yep, that's what the Config Note says, Generic SIP Device. I think the other setting was for the old Spectralink pre Polycom phones. Glad you got them working.

old setting was for the old Minet based Spectralink handsets. The new handsets are all SIP based and therefore need the Generic SIP device setting. The think to note is as SIP devices they act link SIP devices and have all the limitations of the SIP feature set that Mitel supports ( ie you lose all the Mitel specfic features you used to get ). Not a big problem in my opinion.
