Hi all,

Just wondering if any different steps are involved when upgrading 2 sql 2000 sp3a servers to sp4 when transactional replication is running between the two? I didn't see anything special in the readme files though I would think it would be wise to at least stop the sql agent if not disable replication temporarily.....

Anyone actually go through this process?

Thanks!

I have done it. When you install SP4 the services will be stopped so it will stop replication. However I have still stopped replication manually before the upgrade.

nope. you can do them at the same time if they both can be down.
